WC 4.8.2 email notifications

Hi Robert,

I don't know if this has always been the case when creating new users with WC, but when the option setting to NOT notify users of changes to security role changes is used, when creating a new user, Notify User is checked, rather than unchecked.

When editing an existing user, the Notify user is Unchecked.

When adding a new user, the Notify user is Checked by default.

If this is the intended behavior, can you please allow the same Notify option to be set for creating new users?

I re-read my post and realized it may not be clear.

In module options, There is a setting: "Turn on/off the default "Send Notification?" flag when managing users in security roles: " Which is very usefull.

I would also like an option, similar to above, which allows me to disable the "Send Notification? flag when a new user is created with UM.

I need to now delegate the creation of special purpose user accounts to a user, and in most cases, it is not appropriate to send notifications. So it would be better if they had to think to select the option to send notification, rather than remember to deselect it most of the time.

Rob,

I need clarification.  When the admin adds new user, an email is sent out the the newly created user.  You want to add a field to the new user screen to enable/disable email notification, correct?

Hi Robert,

When "Add New User" is selected from within UM (also from within DNN built-in User management), there is check box field called "Notify?" which is selected by default, which will send the new user an email when the account is created.

I would like an option setting for the module which causes that check box field to NOT be selected by default when a new user is created within UM.
