I'm using UserManager 4.06.05.
The "Show all user profile data" doesn't appear to do anything at all. For a user in the Administrators role it always shows all the profile data. For a non-admin user granted Edit access to the UserManager module, it never shows the "invisible" profile fields.
I just purchased this module, but it's of no use to me until I can get this feature to work correctly. I need non-admin users to be able to view and edit the non-visible user profile fields. I've tried it on multiple installations of DNN 4.8 and 4.7. I've restarted the app after making the change, still no dice. Does it work for anyone else?
Thanks.
DanH,
The "Show all user profile data" flag is used to control the display of profile data (in view mode) only. The flag can overide the display settings fo the DNN. It is not used to control which field can be edited.
To edit the profile data:
You can give it a try on our demo website http://www.saintsjoseph.com/homepage. The field Company is an example of extended profile that can be updated.
I'll double check the "Show all user profile data" flag.
Regards,
Robert.
Hi There, I am having the exact same problem as the original poster. I have a few users (ACO's) that have been given access to edit others users (Members). The ACO's need to be able to edit the Members profile data including fields that are invisible. Obviously these fields appear fine for site admins, but the ACO's cannot see these hidden fields and thus can't edit that part of the members profile data. Please can this be looked into? It's a major headache for us and makes this module useless for what we wanted it for.
Hi,
The Show All Fields option was for controlling displaying the profile data in view mode. I will check into Edit screen.
What version of DNN do you use?
Hi There, Thanks for the reply. I'm running DNN 04.08.04 I've noticed that even when in view mode and with the "Show all fields" option switched on, non-admins still can't see the invisible fields. Appreciate you looking into this.
Cheers
