DNNSSO - A bonus module for customers who bought PortalSSO module

The WorkControl-DNNSSO (DotNetNuke Single Sign On) enables users to login to DotNetNuke portal using accounts from another DotNetNuke portal instance.  The two instances can be on the same Local Area Network (LAN) or separated over a Wide Area Network (WAN).  The DNNSSO module leverages secure web service technology to enable authentication in real-time to support Single Sign-On.  The DNNSSO module is included in the PortalSSO download package.

Many companies set up Marketing website where potential prospect clients register to get more information.  Beside the marketing website, there are specific sites such as Sales, Technical Supports, Special Products/Services.  Each site has its own database.

Since the clients already registered the accounts in the Marketing site, you want them to use their existing usernames and passwords to login other sites.  How does the WorkControl-DNNSSO help with this scenario?

First you install the WorkControl-DNNSSO in the Marketing site and then

  1. enable DNNSSO Web Service

  2. specify security to access the web services

Figure 1 is an example of the DNNSSO module at the WorkControl LLC marketing site www.workcontrol.com

Second you install the DNNSSO in the site that you want the Clients to login.  In the DNNSSO module setting, you enable the web service client.  Figure 2 is an example of the DNNSSO setting on this demo site www.saintsjoseph.com/homepage

Free free to try out the DNNSSO by first register at www.workcontrol.com and then come to demo site www.saintsjoseph.com/homepage to login (using user name password you created at www.workcontrol.com site).
