Module Overview

The WorkControl-EmailOpt module enables users to self-manage subscriptions to DotNetNuke Security Roles.  Admin can specify available subscription roles by role groups in the module settings screen.  By default, only public roles are available for subscription (but it can be overridden by admin).  The module Edit screen provides email utility to send out newsletters to subscribed users.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Q:  Where are the group and checkbox data coming from?  Ans:  The data come from the DotNetNuke groups and roles.  Group and roles can be setup from Admin >> Security Roles menu
2. Q:  How do I use Token in the email newsletters?  Ans:  Check out this blog for more information.
3. Q:  Why the module does not show Global Security role as a role group in the module settings?  Ans:  The DNN build in the Global Security role contains Administrators, Registered Users roles which are critical to the portal security.  For this reason, the WorkControl-EmailOpt does not make this role group available for Email Opt.
